Addicted to Alcohol

Why do people get addicted to alcohol??? It is a question I can never find an answer yet! I'm not an expert on this subject but looking at it happening to those around me makes me feel sick!! Why can't they refrain themselves or say NO when they should.
I saw this old lady at a party, drinking heavily and challenging the younger male for several drinks. She end up so drunk that she even had sliver drooling...Don't they realize how stupid they look????????
Everytime someone gets drunk :

1. They talk nonsense....
2. They start talking about the past which could lead to an untoward incident of fighting...This is what normally happens after a heavy drinking session....especially among the Dayaks.
3. Husband abuses their wife's and kids.
4. Wives abuses their husband...it happens!
5. Father/Grandfather rapes their daughters/grand daughters, other girls close to them.
6. Commit suicide
7. They pee on their pants and vomit everywhere..
8. They end up sleeping with other women or men.
9. Divorce

Everytime someones addicted to alcohol :

1. They have damaged liver...too much toxin in their blood
2. Their hand shake so vigorously that they had to have a drink every single morning or else they can't even write on the board...teachers you are being watch!
3. They end up with colon cancer or lung cancer, kidney failure and all kinds of diseases.
4. They drink even on medication....
5. They drink at a drop of a hat!

Sad, sad reality but this must stop...or our society will be a damaged society!!
